Kings

If you follow my twitter feed you know by now I’m a Kings fan…..well a huge one. My dad has had season seats since 1985, my mom went into labor with me the night she got home from a Kings game and I’ve been going since I was alive. The moment the Kings won the Stanley Cup was so surreal for me I literally had tears in my eyes. This franchise deserves it and more importantly the fans, like my dad, that have been supporting the team for over 40 years. Another proud moment? We were the only team in LA to bring home a championship…….sorry Laker fans, but I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to not hear about them winning the championship this year and that Hockey can finally be considered just as good. The bandwagoners of course got on my nerves but how could you not get on this bandwagon? We were the 8th seed in the playoffs and beat the 1st, 2nd, and 3d greatest teams in the entire league. Not only did we win the Stanley Cup but we set records all the way until the end. Not only did we win game 6 but we won it 6-1. It was worth the wait to go out like this and I hope this will put Hockey on the map for Los Angeles because it deserves it. I hope you don’t mind me taking a day out of fashion to write about this because it’s a big part of me and such a monumental moment for me and the city of Los Angeles. Yeeeoowww!
