BCBG Spring 2013 Show NYFW

So this is embarrassing but I’m still having trouble with my camera and runway shows. Please excuse the blurry mess BUT I thought it would still be cool to add in some photos of the actual show and not just photos you would find online. Stephanie and I woke up bright and early Thursday morning in honor of the BCBG Max Azria show at The Lincoln Center. After numerous dreams of not making it on time, I got ready in my finest (below) and we headed out. Checking in and my name being on the list was exhilarating and also a relief. I always have fears of something going wrong and my name not actually being on the list. Moving on, we were brought into the big room which was a surreal moment in itself, and got told to stand in “priority standing”. I’m not sure what the difference between “priority standing” and “standing”  but all I know is I ended up in the 5th row and I was stoked. The lights dimmed, the music started and I got butterflies in my stomach. My first NYFW show. The music in the background was hypnotizing as a Blondie acapella of Heart of Glass was dubbed over a classical song which I don’t know the name of. It transitioned into another edgy, fun song and ended with the same song as the opening. It fit with the clothing perfectly and heightened the experience. The collection was gorgeous mixing leather harnesses with chiffons which I thought was great having a heavy weight fabric and a light weight fabric all in one garment. The pieces also had geometric seams which were super fun and unique. I.loved.every.piece. The hair and makeup were perfect, not taking away from the clothes whatsoever. The hair style was a part down the middle, mostly straight but some pieces with a light wave and a slight tease. I like to call it effortlessly messy sleek. The show was phenomenal and such a perfect way to start the week. Here are REAL photos of the show and you can find more on Style.com
