What I wore…NYFW Day 1

(vintage corset, black slacks, Sole society heels, PV sunnies, gifted Melie Bianco bag)

Surreal. Whirlwind. Shock. Excitement. Appreciation. Happiness. Inspired.

The above are all words that describe my first day at New York Fashion Week. I’m going to be completely honest here, no trying to be someone else or act like I don’t care or be too cool to take a moment to be excited….I am so happy and  honored that I’m here for New York Fashion Week. I know a lot of people don’t get the opportunity to be here and I, myself was DYING to be here no more than a year ago which is a trip in itself.  Attending the BCBG show alone was unreal. You see photos all over the internet of the Lincoln Center, the street style, the runways, the lights, the drool worthy clothing but to see it in person is like being in a dream land of fashion heaven. Everything is exactly what it seems and just as magical. I hustled to get here,  did everything myself and it was all worth it. When you work hard, shit happens. I hope to come back and attend more and more shows and make more and more connections because meeting people is one of the best parts (to me at least, I love making friends). I’m truly in my element and I know I’m exactly where I need to be as far as what I want to do with my life.

I’m a little mentally + physically exhausted having MAGIC and New York Fashion Week back to back leaving me not as present as I could be, but I’m still trying to take every single waking moment in and enjoy it. New York is magical as always and every time I see it it reassures me that I will live here one day.
