What I do

Posted on October 10th, 2012 by admin

When I’m not blogging, running my online store, going to events or freelancing for other sites…I GoGo dance at Bootsy Bellows. It’s the new “it” club run by David Arquette (yes, he is the sweetest man ever) with a 60s vibe and a celebrity guestlist. I dance on a piano, in a box or on boxes and I love every second of it. You truly never know what’s going to happen (last friday I had a drink with one of the Black Keys, danced for a few seconds with Adam Demamp and got Aziz Ansari’s butt in my face just to give you an idea) which makes for a never dull part time job. The front room is your typical dance music room with people spending a ridiculous amount of money on bottle after bottle and a packed dance floor but the thing that sets it apart from other clubs is the roamingĀ marionetteĀ puppeteers, a wondering cat and a trumpet player that plays to the music the DJ is playing. The front is really fun but the back…..the back is a magical place. With retro music filling the room, celebrities dancing about and myself dancing on the piano pretending I’m in a 1960′s lounge….the back is anotherĀ dimension. On top of the place being so much fun to work at we have amazing costumes that make you feel like you’re playing dress up every time you work. I thought I would share with you guys this fun little aspect of my life because I don’t talk much about it and dancing has been a huge part of my life since I was 5. I’ll be there tonight so come by and say hi! xo
