I’m having a love affair with Hudson and I’m not ashamed!
(Hudson Nico Super Skinny Jeans, Valley High Baby Tee, Brixton hat, Miista Heels)
Jeans have always been a struggle for me. My rise is super small, my legs are not short yet every pair I’ve tried on has yards of fabric at my ankle, and they’re never ever comfortable. Until Hudson came into my life. I’ve been covering Hudson for years now through my side gig at Denim Blog. I’ve always loved their collections, how they push the boundaries in the denim industry and the team is always so sweet. I’ve actually never worked with them on a blogging level and I’m so stoked to be starting now. My love affair started when I decided to treat myself to a nice pair of jeans. I’ve been dying for a pair of beautiful high waisted blue jeans and they are very hard to find. After trying on literally 7 pairs at American Rag I found the Barbara’s by Hudson. These things changed my life. Not only did they make my body look banging they are the most comfortable pair of pants I own next to leggings. Literally, I was so happy to find a pair of jeans that ACTUALLY FIT ME I haven’t stopped wearing them. When Hudson got in contact with me I was so excited to be able to try out a few more pairs because they have me for life now I WILL FOREVER BE A HUDSON GIRL. I went ahead and reviewed the Nico Super Skinnies over on Denim Blog and you can read more about it HERE.
As for my outfit? Living in Valley High, duh! Lately, I’ve been finding myself wanting shorter, tighter shirts because all I’ve been wearing for 3+ years are oversized everything. Although I still love oversized everything with all my heart, sometimes I want a cute lil 70s vibe going on and I also want to my pants to show because they are also a big part of my outfit too (they deserve it!). I designed this baby tee because it felt like this was the way things were progressing in the fashion world and I wanted to be able to wear a nice fitting shirt with my pants every now and then. The only thing available now that’s close to this shirt is a crop top and I don’t feel like wearing high-waisted and cropped everything, every day ya feel me? I’ve been wearing this top with everything and it’s so comfortable I can’t even explain it.
As for these shoes, they are OLD but they are TIMELESS my friend. Their shape, design and color will be relevant for as long as I can see and they are one of my favorite pair of shoes. I’m glad I brought them out again and I absolutely love wearing them with jeans. A lot of times jeans can feel plain and boring to me so I like dressing them up with rad shoes or other pieces of clothing that are statement pieces.
