So if you didn’t know already, I’m engaged and we’re getting this ball rollin’!
Yes, I couldn’t be happier because I’ve been with my now, fiancè for 12 years and have wanted this day to come for a while now. Yes, we got engaged last year and we’re planning for a wedding in 2017. Yes, we’re crazy because we have a new business we dedicate our lives to, and decided to throw a wedding in there as well and if you’re wondering the C.O. in the title is our future initials. With that being said, we’re about a year out and we’re just now starting to get the planning momentum going. To bring you up to speed, we’re planning on having the wedding in Palm Springs because it’s a place that’s special to us and we believe is our style. We’ve been going since 2007 and absolutely love everything about it out there. I also want to fulfill my dream of being a ’60s mod princess on my wedding day and a Palm Springs setting is the perfect place to make this happen.
Above you can see the mood board I put together for us. It encompasses the vibe we both want for our big day and I can say that a year after putting it together, it’s still accurate. We’re going for a retro Palm Springs vibe with classic modern touches. Something simplistic and chic.
Right now we have our venue narrowed down to two estates and should hopefully be making the final decision this week! No, I have not looked or tried on dresses yet but it’s something that stresses me the EFF out because fashion is my life and I want what I wear to be epic/amazing.
Now that you’re up to speed, I’d like to introduce our amazing wedding planner, Fearon. She was passed on to me from my best friend who used her for her GORGEOUS wedding last year, and it’s been so awesome working with her so far. Aside from being a wedding planner, she handles events like Bottle Rock and the Napa Valley Film Festival and is an all around BOSS. I’m stoked to be working with her and excited to give you guys the low down as the year unfolds. I’m going to try my hardest to blog about my whole wedding planning/wedding on here because it’s something I’ve been looking forward to doing with my blog for a while now.
See below for images from my best friends wedding (a la Fearon and my very creative BFF) because I want to relive it, and it was the best wedding I’ve been to.
Once our venue is locked in…I’ll be posting about it!
