BB’s First Food

Posted on January 31st, 2018 by admin

Getting ready to feed BB Mads his first solids! I’m armed and ready (and clearly excited). Here’s my amo.

The Big Players

1. Baby Beaba Babycook Plus Baby Food Maker

This pup steams and purees your baby’s food, all in one. Sold.

2. Infantino Fresh Squeezed Squeeze Station

This contraption puts your homecooked baby food in to-go pouches. You can freeze them, take them with you anywhere or use them at home. These pouches also have a spoon attachment so that the puree squeezes directly on the spoon making it that much easier for feedings when you’re out and about (see below for spoons).

3. NurturMe Organic Baby Cereals

I’m starting BB Mads off with rice cereal first because it’s the easiest thing on the stomach (he has eczema so I’m taking this food thing slowly). Once he’s ready, I’m adding these jam-packed, nutritious NurturMe cereals. Made from quinoa, packed with protein and plant-based nutrients. These are right up my alley and I can’t wait to give them to him.

A little more about NurturMe….

NurturMe makes organic tummy friendly baby and toddler foods that are designed to help take the worry out of feeding your little one. Their certified organic ancient grain, fruit and veggie meals and snacks are naturally gentle, easily digestible and free from common allergens that can upset sensitive little bellies – including gluten, dairy, soy, and egg. They also add a daily recommended dose of probiotics to our ancient grain-based cereals and snacks for overall digestive health.

The Back-Up

Here are all of the products I’m using to hold and feed the baby food. All of which are BPA free.

GoSili Bowl

GoSili Sippy Cup  A great alternative to plastic (same with the GoSili Bowl).

B Box Fresh Food Feeder  – Contains a mesh attachment to strain food while baby eats. This is also great for soothing teething pain with cold food or an ice cube!

B Box Snack Pack – Comes with a spoon that attaches to the bowls and also has a cover.

•Tiny Bites Food Shears

•Infantino Squeeze Pouches

B Box Divided Plate – BPA, Phthalates and PVC free.

•Boon Benders Adaptable Utensils – These utensils are shaped so that babies can have an easier time feeding themselves while they learn how to hold utensils.

•Infantino Couple a Spoons – These are the spoons I was talking about up there ^ that attach to the Infantino pouches for easy, mess-free eating on the go.

I’m going to start feeding Mads this weekend and I can’t wait. Food is such an important thing to me; I was raised on healthy food, I’m obsessed with healthy food and I can’t wait to raise Mads the same way. Expect many more posts on this subject because what an exciting world we are entering! What are your favorite baby food products?
