It’s funny because we had a discussion at the conference I spoke at in NOLA about how bloggers are always sorry for being MIA from posting when in fact, no one really cares or notices. I am in fact guilty of this and despite being fully aware that I am no more important than the next person in your life I’m still sorry I’ve been gone for a while. I think the consistency of my writing/posting makes me feel like I’m providing my readers with something entertaining every day and if I don’t continue I feel like I’m depriving you of something or letting you down. With that being said, after an infection, New Orleans, an allergic reaction that won’t go away and now being messed up on Benedryl I’m finally back. (I’M SO SORRY! jks). I can’t get enough of this Motel Rocks top and it could not be any more perfect with these Shoedazzle heels. I thought I’d choose a different route than a high waisted short because that’s the natural choice so I went for some boyfriend jeans to rough up the look. Although I’m not fully comfortable with my stomach yet (still doing boot camp!) I thought I’d bust it out for this outfit. Thanks for always tuning in and not being mad when I’m gone. Luv u.

NOLA finally decided to clear up on Saturday after a day of non stop pouring rain on Friday. It’s funny because on Friday while walking 4 blocks sopping wet, with not proper coverage or for some of us, shoes, I still managed to find it a little romantic as we passed through the cutest, little southern neighborhood with nothing but the sound of rain and not a dry spot on us. A lot of times when I travel or even in life I will take a minute to really stop and appreciate the moment I’m in and be thankful that I’m able to be in New Orleans while it’s pouring rain and seeing things I would never see otherwise. ANYWAY, enough romanticism and onto my fun new dress that has quickly made it to the top of my “wear everyday” list. My blogger BFF Stephanie has her own online shop, Last Night, that specializes in dresses for any occasion. She equipped me with this cool and comfortable dress for my trip to the humid south and it was a match made in heaven. I love the print, fit and back of this dress and of course I’m dying over it paired with my favorite boots. Another fun day spent stuffing out faces, touring the city and also VINTAGE SHOPPING. Until tomorrow NOLA….
I apologize for the lack of posts this week, I’ve seemed to come down with a horrible (self diagnosed) case of Strep Throat. I have a Dr.’s appointment today so we’ll find out the real results but all I know is I’ve been miserable since Monday night. Absolutely LOVING these Shoedazzle shoes, they are the perfect blend of casual and dressy and are perfect for Summer (and Sunday brunches).
