The Biggest Year

Our 13th year together will be our biggest year to date. Not only are we getting married but we just found out we are expecting our first child! It’s so weird to type that out right now, I still can’t believe it’s even happening. This came as a huge surprise but we were instantly thrilled and are so excited for this new chapter in our lives. The new news definitely threw us for a loop; we had to move our wedding up 6 months, keep the big news (aka the reason WHY we moved the wedding) from everyone for way too long, devise a plan of attack for our living situation (this 1 bedroom apartment is cute, but won’t be for long), and plan for another human to join us in this world!

As far as the pregnancy goes, I haven’t been sick once (I feel like I won the lottery), I was tired in my first trimester (duh) but feel great now (I’m 16 weeks)! My bump is finally starting to show little by little and nothing high waisted fits me anymore, which is everything I wear. I’ve been trying to take things slow so I don’t get overwhelmed, so right now I’m worrying about what I’m eating and making sure that I’m listening to my body. My best friend got me THE BEST book for someone that knows NOTHING about making a human in your body, What To Eat When You’re Pregnant.  It gives you a week by week breakdown of what you should be eating to help with whatever is developing that particular week. I’ve been mixing the foods in this book with things like In-N-Out, pasta and chicken pot pies. I LOVE SALT AND CARBS RIGHT NOW! It’s been such a beautiful experience so far and for the next phase,  I have to learn how to dress myself all over again.

I’ll be keeping everyone updated with bump photos and pregnancy updates!

Bridesmaids? Nope. Wedding squad? Yup.

Bride For A Day At Loho Bride

A few weeks back I visited a bridal shop that I have had my eye on since I got engaged. Not only was I a fan, but this place was referred to me by numerous people so I knew I had to go and I was NOT disappointed.
